Welcome to the website of New College Boat Club.
NCBC has always been one of the most successful boat clubs at the University of Oxford, from its foundation around 1840, through winning an Olympic medal in 1912, to much more recent successes.
We compete primarily in the intercollegiate “bumps” races, Torpids and Eights, as well as other regattas both in Oxford and externally. We often field up to seven crews, so there’s an opportunity for all to get involved, whether aiming for serious success or just being more social.
All members of the college are welcome to join, regardless of rowing experience. If you’re interested, whether a prospective or current student, you can find out how to get in touch here.
The New College Boat Club Society is for our old members, helping them to keep in touch with the club and each other, through events, newsletters and more. For details of how to get involved, take a look at our alumni pages.
If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to contact the President, Pete Budden.
